Gennady TREGUBENKO (born 1967) has been working at NMetAU since 1987. In 2001 he completed his doctoral studies in the specialty "Metallurgy of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and special alloys" and in 2008 he defended his doctoral dissertation. Since 2009 - Professor of the Department of Metallurgy of Non-Ferrous Metals. Since 2012 - Professor of the Department of Electrometallurgy. In 2010 - 2013 worked part-time as a professor at the Department of Intellectual Property.
Winner of the Ukrainian-French competition of innovative projects (1994), internship in France (1995), in 1995 awarded a scholarship from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists, laureate of the 1st degree diploma of the III International Congress of Young Scientists (1996), laureate of the All-Ukrainian popularity rating "Wheel Fortune "in the nomination" Best Young Scientist "(1997), Certificate of Merit of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration (1998), Certificate of Honor of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Rada (2015), Certificates of the NMetAU (1999, 2014, 2017).
The main directions of scientific activity:
Study of the interaction of ferrous and non-ferrous metals with gases;
Improving the structure and properties of steels and alloys;
Development of the optimal composition and efficient technology for the production of steels and alloys for construction, machine and car building, power engineering, pipe and mining industries, pipeline valves, etc.
More than 150 scientific papers have been published and 15 patents received.
