Objects of study: modern typical and promising processes, technologies, equipment that ensure sustainable development and resource and energy conservation in the production of castings from ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys.

Learning objectives: training of specialists capable of analyzing, developing, optimizing and using modern and advanced technologies for the production of castings from ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys.

Methods, techniques and technologies: experimental methods for studying materials and processes, modeling methods, special scientific methods aimed at analyzing, developing and optimizing technologies for the production of castings from ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys.

Instruments and equipment: experimental and measuring instruments, imitation technological equipment used in modern production of castings from ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys, specialized software.

Training of specialists who, based on scientific principles, are able to analyze, develop, optimize and use modern and promising technologies of metallurgical production with an emphasis on the processes of foundry production of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys, ensuring sustainable development and resource and energy conservation in metallurgical production.

Educational and professional program; focused on modern scientific and scientific-practical research in the foundry of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys; design of modern technological casting equipment and workshops; development of innovative technologies that provide resource and energy conservation and guarantee environmental protection.

The peculiarities of the educational and professional program are in its focus on obtaining in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in specialty 136 Metallurgy in accordance with the specialization "Foundry of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys", which is ensured by studying the disciplines of the student's free choice.
